April review and Track

What a month it has turned out to be. Make sure to check out the other 3 posts after this one to read about the rest of our happenings.  In April my baby turned 4, we started Baseball & Softball, had a few playdates, continued with soccer and so far have had one track meet.  Easter is coming but that's for a different post.  We are running around and when we do get a night off we don't know what to do with ourselves.  Trey had a track meet yesterday where he ran the 50 and 200 meter races and a 200 meter relay.  He won both of his races and did amazing!  The kid can run so fast it's crazy.  His Relay would have won except one kid got tripped up so they took 3rd instead.  He was a little bit disappointed with that but he got over it :)  We finally had a couple of playdates with the kids' friends.  The first one was with Karter, Kaleb and Haylie.  We play soccer with these kids and the they all go to the same school.  We went swimming an my work than we split up with Trey going with the boys and their family and Haylie coming home with us.  The next playdate was with Trey's friend Blaine from school.  We met him at the Shac and went swimming with uncle dan.  I have to say after doing these playdates and seeing Trey interact at the track meet, I have decided that my kids are very sweet and treat everyone really really well.  Now don't get me wrong this is something that we all hope our kids are doing but when you get to see them in action and get proof that they are, it definitely makes you smile.
I'm sure I'm missing out on so many activities that we've been doing but this is going to have to be enough for now.

Brex turns 4!

My baby has turned 4 years old this year and boy did we celebrate all day long!  He got to take donuts and juice to preschool for his class and loved it!  He got his balloons and was so surprised when he got a Mario/Luigi balloon.  He got a Mario and Luigi cake and lots of Luigi stuff for the wii u.  We ended his big birthday celebration by going to a baseball game for Miss Elle.  He ran to his hearts content and was exhausted by the end of the night.
A few fun facts about Mr. Brex
1- His favorite color is Green
2-His favorite person is Trey
3-He loves preschool
4-Loves every sport known to man
5-Favorite character is Luigi and Power Rangers
6-Loves to tease us all

We love our Brexy Boo!

Baseball

We have started Little League and both Elle and Trey are playing.  Trey is playing in the minors and has been doing really well.  His team is the Red Sox and so far the are 3-0.  He's played 2nd, shortstop and third base.  He's walked, struck out and been beaned by the ball.  He's yet to get a good hit but he will get there soon! He's had a lot of fun and his coach is good.  His favorite part so far is the fact that he beat his friends team the giants. At school they were talking trash and said they were going to win.  It was a close game and Trey's team came out on top.  Talk about total excitement.  Elle's playing kid/coach pitch softball.  The girls will throw 4 pitches and than the coach does 2.  They get a chance to swing at all 6 pitches to see if they can get a hit.  The rules we are told will change in the middle of the season so guess we will see how this turns out.  She has played shortstop, third and catcher.  She had 2 amazing hits at her game last night and she even hit them off of the girl pitcher.  She's come a long way from the first game and her team is starting to click.  It's gonna be a great baseball season!!!

Running home!

Soccer

Soccer Update: Trey's team has been undefeated all season until last Saturday when the coach made a horrible call and pulled out 2 of the best players and removed our goalie on a game with 2 mins left and the score 0-0.  Needless to say the other team scored and than the coach put back in all the players.  It was so hard to watch because our boys played so hard and deserved that win.  They controlled the ball the whole game and it was one of those times when the ball just wouldn't go into the goal. But there is still hope that they will take first place. They've beaten the teams that are tied for 2nd place and those 2 teams have yet to play each other. So we are keeping our fingers crossed.  Elle's soccer team has struggled and struggled.  It's been a hard season for her.  She did score a goal a couple of weeks ago and boy is she playing hard.  We are proud of her!  Brex had his last game on Saturday and he played awesome!!!  His little team the Ninja Turtles has been so cute.  Uncle Dan coached for us on Saturday.  Cale was suppose to but we were running late from Trey's game and so Dan stepped in and when we asked if he wanted us to take over he said no.  He did a great job and it was a fun game.  Best way to end the season. :)

Not afraid to get in there!

He's played so good this year!!!

Pic overload.

I have to start by saying Happy Birthday to my Hunny!  We had an early birthday present for Cale the week before.  I took him to Vegas for a few days and we had so much fun. Than it was back to reality and boy did we jump right into it. Brex had his bike rodeo at preschool on Tues and had a blast. The week was full of practices and homework and working on the derby car.  We had a full weekend of swimming, soccer, the pinewood derby and a little bit of time at park.  All the kids won their soccer games with Elle getting a goal.   Trey took 3 2nds and a 4th at the Pinewood Derby.  I didn't get any pictures but Cale got one of his car. We also got to spend some time at the park and with Cale's sister Cobi and her family.  What a fun and busy life we lead :)

Spring Break

We had spring break last week and it was a blast. The kids got to spend some time at grandma and papas house while mommy and daddy went and stayed in Vegas for Cale's birthday. The kids got to play outside to their hearts content. They love to go down and spend time with G&G.  Thank you to them for watching them for us.
Cale and I were able to spend sometime with just the 2 of us and it was so nice.  We walked all over the place and ate yummy yummy food and honestly just relaxed.  We came home on Friday night and the kids got to have a sleepover with their cousin Codi.  My brother was down for the Spectrum 10k race. Codi was able to go watch Trey and Elle play soccer and I know Elle loved having her here even if the trip was short.  We ended our Spring Break by seeing Mr. Peabody & Sherman at the movies. It's a cute movie and the kids had fun.
It's been hard to get back into the swing of things and believe me we have been on the go.  I've started running with Trey and Dan and today I am sore.  We are finishing Trey's derby car as the race is this Saturday. Brex had his Bicycle Rodeo at school today and he had a blast. We have multiple practices and a make up game in the middle of the week.  We are in a bit of a pickle and trying to figure out how our Saturday is going to work. We have the derby race at 9am and Elle's soccer game is at 9am with Brex's right behind at 10am(completely different areas of town too.) and Trey's at 11am. It will work out but like I said busy busy busy.

Spring

It is Spring time and we are loving it!  I know that a lot of places are still seeing snow but we have been lucky and have had 70 degree weather.  The kids have gotten to play outside and we have started Spring Soccer.  The first weekend all the games were rained out but we finally this past weekend got to play.  Brex started the games this week and boy was he ready to go.  He scored 3 goals within the first few minutes of the game. The rest of the game he had a couple of more shots but they went wide.  Funny note with Brex, he's on this kick where if he sneezes he tells you that he has a "bless you".  That is if we don't say it first.  Right before the game he comes running up to me and goes "mom I had a bless you."  It was so funny, he thinks that we should know when he needs a "bless you."
Next was Elle and Trey's games at the same time so we split up.  I went to Elle's and Cale went to Trey's.  Elle's team played good. The were having a hard time getting anything going so it was a little bit rough.  Our sweetheart played like a champ though and had a couple of break away's but the other team had really good defenders. Hopefully this next week will be better for her.
Trey's team from what I hear played awesome!  Our big boy scored a goal this game and was a team captain.  Cale said he really stepped up and had an amazing game. I'm totally bummed that I missed it. So here's hoping this weeks game I see a repeat. :)
Brex playing awesome! I didn't get any of the others so next week for sure.
