Recap Sept and Oct.

Holy Moly how time flies.  It seems to get faster and faster and I can't catch up.  We've had a busy few months with flag football, soccer, baseball, basketball and volleyball.  Whew that is a lot. Add in a couple of holidays and well here we are 4 days til Thanksgiving.

In September Cale and I went to a Kacey Musgraves concert in Salt Lake.  It was an awesome 2 day get away for us.  The concert was amazing and I can't wait to go again!  The kids stayed with cale's parents and had a blast.  We've been keeping busy with running the kids around to their activities and man that's enough.

Brex started up flag football, soccer and had a baseball tournament.  This was his first year playing football and the kid was a boss out on the field.  He had tons of flag pulls and his team ended up winning the championship for his age group!  In soccer he came back strong as ever and was a scoring machine.  He was lucky and got the same coach he had last year and some of the same players.  His baseball team made it to their first championship game and took 2nd.  I was so proud of this kid as he caught a fly ball and had a few walks.  They had to play 3 games all right in a row and I never heard him complain. If that wasn't enough excitement for one day we ended the night at the rodeo sitting on the front row and having a blast!  In October we took him to an eye doctor on the request of the school as he failed his eye test.  We were shocked to find out that he has really bad eyes.  He is both near sighted and far sighted and a 4 in one eye and 5 in the other eye.  The kid really couldn't see but we never would have guessed as he plays all these sports and is doing amazing in school!  Since then we've gotten his glasses and it's taken him a little while to get use to them but he is doing fantastic!

Elle in September started up Choir. She was such a trooper going from game to game and keeping us all on track.  She's doing amazing in school and loves going and chilling with her friends.  We have thought about putting her in swim team and might do that come spring.  In October she started up volleyball and did so awesome!  Her over hand is coming right a long she's got the game down.  She's kept up on her art and loves to sit and draw or color or create whatever she wants.

Trey's September was filled with flag football where he was the quarter back and the kids incredible.  He would have at least 20 flag pulls each games and score their only touchdowns.  His team wasn't very good but Trey didn't let that get him down.  They never won a game but he kept on playing his A game.  He also had baseball. The Outlaws weren't playing but he played with the Badgers and went 3-1 in their tournament.  He's been seeing a pitching coach who is a retired MLB pitcher Brandon Lyon.  He's done so well with Trey and the confidence that has come from Trey is so inspiring.  He also played in an October tournament with the Badgers and again the went 3-1. Trey ended the first quarter with a 3.88 grade point average and made the honor roll.  He is so smart and I couldn't be prouder.

In October we had fall break and went down to G&G Whitney's house were we went to a pumpkin patch for pumpkins.  We had a blast picking them out and plaing all weekend.  The kids had fun drawing up their own designs for the pumpkins and Cale cut them out. We ended up trick or treating with Karter, Kaleb, Ty, Trey, Hailee and Lilla.  The kids had a blast and got loads of candy.  Elle went as a nerd, Brex as ball player and Trey as a ball player. We also had cousins come down and had a super fun weekend with them.  We hiked by the dixie rock and hit up the new park and did house of jump. We had a super fun and busy September and October and I'm sure I've forgotten tons but oh well.

School already

We have started school already and man it's been weird.  We now have a big ol 6th grader, a 5th grader and a 1st grader.  All the kids are in all day school.  Trey is in intermediate school.  He moves from class to class and has to be at the bus stop by 7am each morning.  He is such a trooper and has made a few friends already.  He loves that he gets home around 2 each day and gets to spend an hour with his daddy by himself.

Elle and Brex are in elementary and life is good.  Brex is getting used to not having Trey and all of his friends around to play with. It was a little hard the first couple of days but I think he's onto something different now.  Elle is loving being back so she can hang out with all of her friends.  She was a little upset with who she got for her teacher but has since changed her tune.  She likes her class and has a ton of friends in it.

We are a few weeks in and I think we've got a routine going.  We are a few weeks out from starting all the sports but for now we will relax and enjoy the simple routine we've got going.

She's 10!!

Double digits it can't be true!  My baby girl is 10 and I'm in shock. You'd think I would be prepared for that as Trey is older but I'm not.

Elle has had such a big year and she's slowly growing up.  It's been a little bit of a rough summer as part of growing up is understanding reality and sometimes reality is scary.  She is slowly realizing what she wants to do.  Her love for art has exploded and she's gotten so good!  Here are 10 facts about our girl!

1-She loves art!
2-She loves to sing
3-Her best friend is Riley
4-She's over 5ft tall
5-Her shoe size is an 8 in womans
6-She loves to watch netflix and draw/color/paint/etc
7-She's a total sweetheart and loves her family so much
8-She still sleepwalks once in awhile and it cracks us up. (the other night she came in and when we asked her what was up she said she had to find her dad. he was sitting right next to me talking to her.)
9-Her favorite color is blue more like a teal
10-She loves to swim, play v-ball and softball.

She is the sweetest girl and her love is unconditional. We are so blessed that she's ours and we get to experience her spirit every day.
We celebrated with an ice cream cake, shopping and lunch at buffalo wild wings.
I love these pictures because it shows the true character of each of my kids.  They love eachother, laugh with each other and are there for each other.

She got a new phone and was floored.
She wanted a texas donut for breakfast and that's what she got.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful Elle Belle.  You will always be our girl!

End of Summer

Our summer has officially ended and we went out with a bang.  Through the end of July we played a few more tourneys, went to ivins res, swam, played and played some more.  The first week in Aug. we got Trey ready for intermediate school, had Elle's birthday and played in another tournament in Beaver/Milford.  We also got to visit with my parents, play in lehi and the kids spent a few days with G&G whitney.  Overall it was a jam packed summer and we are sad that it's over.

Elle did a volleyball camp this summer and loved it.  She's hoping to do some more come this fall.
Trey played with the Badgers in a tournament up north. While there we went to Scheels inbetween the games and we all went on the ferris wheel.  I'm not sure why a few of us went because we are all scared of heights but it was fun regardless.
These brave boys went all by themselves and had a blast.
I went with Abby and Maggie and I about died when Maggie asked what would happened if she stood up.  That girl is nuts....one second she would be terrified than she's throw her hands up in the air. She kept us entertained for sure.
My girl and her daddy having a blast!
Here is Dan and Trey.  Trey said the worst part was when they stopped him at the very top! :)

Here is our ball player or at least one of them anyway.  This kid played awesome!  He had one play where his team was ahead by a run and the other team had bases loaded and 1 out.  He was playing center field.  The batter hit this high fly ball out between center and right the wind took it a little bit but our boy was running so fast to get to it and did a diving catch.  He caught it came up throwing and threw the runner going to home out and got the double play!  It was CRAZY and we all went nuts! He had so many awesome plays that tournament but that one was my favorite!

He looks good!

After the games we went to Cliff and Kims for a BBQ with the fam.  We had a ton of family come watch Trey at his games and I love it! I'm so excited that they get to share in the fun games with us and I know it means a lot to him to have everyone there cheering for him. At the BBQ the kids had a blast playing musical chairs, and 500.  Here is Elle photo bombing Abby

The end of July the kiddos got to spend a few days at Grams and papa Whitney's house.  They had a blast! When we went to pick them up we went out shooting and I love that they want to go and learn how to shoot like their daddy!
It was blazing hot and these 2 tried to find as much shade as possible.

She's got some game to her.

Brex did awesome and hit some of the targets we had put out!
I love this picture of my boys. Nothing like having dad teach you how to shoot.

This kid is a sharp shooter!  We had him try the shotgun and he smoked the flying target on his first shot! Smack dab in the middle the target exploded!
 I love this picture too!
My kiddos after we went to lunch with G&G.

Here are our ball players for the beaver/milford tourney.  Trey played in Milford and Brex played in Beaver and thank goodness my parents came to watch. They made it possible for me to be at Brex's games but to catch one of Trey's games the first day! Our poor Boo got popped in the head his first at bat of the first game.  He had 3 balls and the pitcher hit his helmet with the 4th ball but it spun off of his helmet and into his forehead. He had the biggest goose egg.  I was terrified that he wouldn't want to play anymore but I should know better.  Our boy came back for the 2nd game that night.  He hit a foul ball than got hit in the back.  I thought for sure we were doomed and he wouldn't get back in the box, but he did and got his official first hit in a game.  He hit a double and had a grin a mile wide!  His team also won their first game ever that night! Our Outlaws made a go that weekend but fell short by a couple of games.  They played hard but it wasn't in the cards for them.  We ended on a high note by beating an undefeated team.

You could see the seams of the ball on his head.  The sad part is that the goose egg went down but he bruised all down his nose and had a nasty black eye. Just in time for school :)
Here they are winning after their first win.

Our 2nd half of the summer was a lot like the first half but we did have a blast and I can't believe we are back into the swing of the school year.  More about that in the next post.

All Stars

Trey made the 10u Majors All Stars team this year.  After the 4th of July we had one day of chillin and after that took off running.  Trey's first game was that Wednesday and he started the team off right by pitching an amazing game.  They won that game and the next.  We were able to have a day off of not traveling to Cedar for the games as we were on the winning bracket.
Here he is during the first game.
The boys would line up at the beginning of each game to recite the motto and say the pledge of alligence.

He played again on Saturday against Dixie and man what an intense game.  They were in the 5th inning and we were tied.  Trey was up and got a hit and was able to score that inning to put us one up.  We just needed to hold the other team in the 6th inning and we would win.  Dixie scored and tied it back up. Fast forward to the bottom of the 7th and Trey's back up.  He hits the ball to 2nd base and legged out to be safe at first.  He worked his way around the bases and with 2 outs we needed him to score.  On a pass ball Trey ran home and won the game to put his team in first place and undefeated going into the championship game.  The Big game was today and we played Dixie again.  This time the team didn't take any chances.  We came out with our bats swinging and our defense tough.   We Won the Utah State Championship for 10u!!
The semi's game.  He is looking good!

I had to laugh cause he's almost as tall as the coach.

Love that they do this.

Pizza party night before championship

Huddle before the game.

He did start pitching the championship game but couldn't find his groove.

Good looking kid right there.

Holding down the field.

Handing out the bats they got for winning.

Listening intently :)

Woo Hoo!!! Champions!

I love this kid of mine!

Outlaw bros=Champs

Trey did such a great job all week and I couldn't be prouder of him.  He stepped up when his team needed him. This kid has heart and doesn't give up.  I'm so glad that he was able to have this experience.

Summer Fun

Our summer is flying by and boy have we been busy.  The kids have been having a blast doing swim lessons and we have a few swimmers! I'm thinking of putting Elle on the age group swim team.  We have had tons of swimming days and baseball days. Miss Elle has been such a trooper as we've dragged her to all of the ball games.  At least she gets to play with all of her friends that also are there.

Trey has played baseball almost every weekend. He's been in the Beaver tournament, Summer games(with the Skorpions), and Cedar tournament.  He also made the 10u majors All-Stars team.  The boys played great in the Beaver tournament and went 3-1 and had a 4 way tie for first.  They missed out on going to the championship game by a few runs.  In the Summer games Trey's team played in the Bronze medal round and just missed out winning by a few runs.  Trey had an awesome game and pitched great!  In the Cedar tournament we went 2-2.  We had some huge wins and didn't lose by much. These boys have really come along way and we are so proud of how well Trey has improved over the last few months.  The last was all-stars and I will do another post about that. Among all of the hub bub Trey hit his first homerun! We couldn't be prouder of him and all that he's accomplished!

Trey pitched so great! This boy is as calm as a cucumber

 He had some great hits!
Here is our boy with his first home run ball! Love him!

Brex  played in the Cedar tournament with the Skorpions 8u team.  He played awesome for being his first tournament. For only being 6 years old this kid rocked it.  We realized that his bat is a tad bit too short so we will have to fix that before the next game.  He has also begun playing on his own travel ball team. They are a 6u team and for right now are just practicing.  Over the 4th Brex lost both of his top front teeth.  He now is sporting the cute grin.
Look at my handsome boy.
Sportin #42

He walked his first at bat
 He looks so tiny.
This kids confidence is incredible.  Heaven knows I wouldn't be able
to do what he's done.

 Love this kiddo
Here he is after the 1st loss tooth.  He got an Ultimate Kong Icecream cone.

Over the 4th of July weekend we went to the Bee's game for Cale's fathers day present and than we hit up the owlz game in Orem and Baby Clin had his baby blessing.  We had so much fun hanging out with some of the fam at the ball games and doing fireworks with everyone.  We did get to see Polly and Mike and made smores while the neighbors did the big fireworks.  The kids had a blast lighting the fireworks and I think that all the kids got burned while doing sparklers....They also climbed the cherry tree and picked a load of cherries.
