24th of july

we had a great 24th of july!! i didn't have to work yesterday so i got to just hang out with my family!! we also went to my staff party! it was a party for all of the community center staff, with the exceptions of my lifeguards who had to guard the party. The bright side is that they did get to eat and watch the fireworks. We swam with the kids and went down the big slide a million times(it felt like a million times). Pizza factory gave us a great deal on food so we had a ton of pizza, bread sticks and some pasta salad and we can't forget all the other yummy things that people brought. So after the eating swimming and chit chatting we all camped out on our enormous deck/grass area and watched the fireworks. The firework show was one of the best ones that i've ever seen. it was like watching the grand finale the whole time. they never let up on them and we were right in front of them. What a fun night we had with everyone. And on a side note i think we've had a break threw with the potty training!

Park City

We spent last week up in park city with cale's fam. It was a ton of fun and i can't remember the last time we have gone non stop for an entire week. We went up to the canyons, where cale and trey went down the coaster, played mini golf, went on the merry go round and went on an airplane ride. Elle and i sat on the sidelines eating ice cream(well elle was). We also went shopping at the outlet stores, went to the park and let all the kiddies play and then we spent a couple days up at olympic park. We got to watch the athletes go off the jumps and cale, his mom, burt(brother in law), maddie and ty (niece and nephew) went down in the bobsled. i think they're all nuts. they also did the zip line, they had a blast! there was also some fishing and golfing and tons of play time. of course no vacation is complete without lots of pool time. my kids are total fish! good thing trey is signed up for swimming lessons again. also we can't forget the family poker tournament. We had a great time and it was awesome to see everyone again. thanks to mom and dad whitney for the great condo that we stayed in and for a wonderful time. Of course it's back to reality for us all and it's been an extremely long day. At least the rain waited until we got home instead of ruining our vacation.

July 4th

What a low key day for us. We decided to stay home and relax for the first time in what seems like ages. We did get a few fireworks for the kids to watch and then we watched the big fireworks from elle's window. Elle wasn't too sure about fireworks and trey would go back and forth between liking them and being scared of them. they both loved the big firework show. i think it's because they were inside and not out near them.

more swim lessons

well we got trey into swimming lessons this week and he's been doing so good!! it's the first thing that he's done by himself and i'm so proud of him. His teacher is amanda and she is awesome!!! There are 3 other boys in his class besides him and they are quite the handful from what i've been able to observe.

Elle has been chillin' with cale in the mornings and it's been fun for me to take trey to his swim lessons. He doesn't get to finish this session because we are headed out of town next week, but we do have him signed up for the end of july. He's turning into such a big boy!
