Playing Catch up

I'm playing catch up from the past few weeks.  We had an awesome 24th of July.  We went hiking up to Kanarraville Falls.  That is such a beautiful and fun hike.  You walk through water a good portion of the way but it's the perfect hike for kids.  We had a blast going down the slide and playing.  After the hike we did fireworks at my work where we went up on top of the roof and got a front row seat to the show.  Poor Brex was so worn out that he kept trying to go to sleep so about half way through Cale took him back downstairs to finish out the show.  It was an awesome way to end a fantastic day with the family.

The following week we went to Tuachan with Cale's parents.  They took us to see the Little Mermaid and it was awesome!  The kids had a blast watching it and Brex made it a little over half way before he fell asleep.  I love how they use the water elements and the zip lines it totally makes the show.

Next up was my Girls Birthday!  She has finally turned 8 and is so excited to be 8.  She is such a bright light in our lives and she's got a laugh that is so infectious that you can't help but join her.  She's my sweet, beautiful, thoughtful girl and I honestly can't imagine our lives with out her in it. Happy Birthday Sweetheart, we love you so much! For her birthday we had a heck of a day.  We took her to breakfast, than went and found out who her school teacher was. After that we got her cake and balloons. She had a Frozen party this year and was so excited that they went a little crazy when eating the cake.  Grandma and Papa came up and spent the day with us.  When they got into town we open presents, went school shopping(for 5 hours crazy kids! :) ) and ended the night with cake and ice cream.  Thanks G&P for coming and spending her special day with us.

The Kids started school on Aug. 11th and they were so excited.  Both said that they had a great day and had fun.  They looked so grown up and I can't believe that we now have a 4th grader and 3rd grader and one on his last year of preschool.  Trey is super stoked as he gets to use an iPad in school and bring it home to do his homework.

 While the kids had their first day of school Brex got to go with my parents, Brandon and Kelz to Snow Canyon Park and up to Pine Valley. They had a blast hiking and playing.  On the way home they stopped and picked up a Veyo pie and of course had a slice while they were there.  My little trooper gave them all a run for their money and kept them on their toes. All the kids got to go swimming after school and hiking all day than we went to dinner to celebrate my sisters birthday and than Trey and Elle went to Tuachan with my parents to see Joseph.  They had a blast and they all got a kick out of Elle's laugh.  Kelz said that the guy sitting next to them would start laughing when Elle laughed. I told you she has an infectious laugh it's so fun and you can't help but join her.

Lastly we celebrated my birthday by going to Zions.  We hiked in the rain up to the Emerald Ponds and had a blast doing it.  I got to spend the day with my family and it was awesome! We ended the day with a good ol fashion BBQ and my all time favorite Homemade Cheesecake. Thank you mom and dad for spending the rest of Birthday week with us. We had so much fun and are all exhausted but that's ok when you get to spend the time with those you love.
