after math

here we are a few days after an exciting halloween holiday. The kids really haven't had too much candy and elle has actually taken her afternoon nap.(she thinks she's too big for naps now) they still talk about their pumpkin and elle talks about how she is a princess. As for cale and I we are catching up on some much needed rest. Trey had a great time at the preschool trunk or treat. They both had a blast at the community center's trunk or treat they loved bouncing in the bounce house. We got there early and they were able to bounce for awhile before a line formed. Now it's time to get rid of all the candy and start thinkin' about thanksgiving plans. wow time is flying by fast!!!

scraped noses

We have been busy the past couple of weeks and so we decided to have a nice relaxing weekend. We started it off by sleeping in on saturday and then we went to the car show to support cale's dad who had his truck entered. He won 1st place in his division. This is the second year in a row, he's on a roll!!!
We then took out trey's little truck and pulled out the 4 wheeler, artic cat and the john deer and trey, cale, elle and grandpa w. all raced up and down the street. It's was really cute. Elle had a little accident over the weekend. She fell on her little bike and scrapped up her nose. At first she looked like rudolph the red nose reindeer. The swelling went down but she is still left with quite the scrapped up nose. We played and played outside until we were all tired. The weather was beautiful.
Grandpa and grandma made pirate hats for the kids out of newspapers and they played cards and elle put lip gloss all over our faces.(that was not easy to get off.) it was such a nice weekend and much needed. We are slowly getting ready for halloween. Elle has her little belle princess dress and we haven't figured out what trey is going to be. We get to do a trunk or treat with trey's preschool class the thursday right before halloween and then we are going to go to the trunk or treat that the community center is putting on for halloween night. I'm really excited i think the kids will have a blast and hopefully get into the spirit. this is elle passed out in her princess dress.

burrrrrrr...........

wow the days have gone from 90 degrees to 64 degrees all within a matter of days. i've decided that i really like the beginning of fall just when it starts to get chilly in the mornings. It gives me a reason to cuddle longer with cale and he can't say he's too hot!!! hehehe. It's nice to have the days not be sooooooooooo hot but i'm not sure i'm ready for the cold weather to come either. I'm not ready for the kids to be sick, or night time to come so quickly. why can't it stay nice? you know not too hot and not cold. oh well. On a positive note it's closer to the holidays, i get to start making hot chocolate and we get to take the artic cat out more! woo hoo!! :)

a ride for ryder

it's ryder's birthday this weekend and he wanted to go out on the artic cat for a ride. so we took him out and here are a few pictures they are taken with my phone camera and so they aren't very good. Trey is also an excellent driver in his little silver truck. He's been taken elle around in the back and has been super careful. he even had a race with cale and elle. the boys in the back of the artic cat.
