May 2016

May has come and gone in a flurry of activities!  We had the end of school programs, swim days, track meets, end of little league and softball, kindergarten graduation, the end of school and the beginnings of summer vacation.  We also can't forget the celebration of a couple of birthdays! Whew it was a lot and I'm not gonna lie I'm excited that May is over!
Brex had his kindergarten graduation! I can't believe my baby is going to be in all day school here in a few short months.  He finished up his last year of coach pitch baseball and if he had his way he'd be on a club team already.  I love that this kid of ours doesn't care that he's only 6 he thinks he's as big as Trey and his friends.  Brex also had his track and field day and did amazing!  He won the softball throw and did really good in the noodle throw and on the races.  He had his kindergarten testing and his teacher said she wanted to keep him and that he was beyond ready to be in 1st grade! May was a busy month for him and we loved experiencing every moment with him.

Elle had her pioneer trek, program, swim day and track meet.  This chick did awesome in her 100 meter race at the track meet and took 2nd in the softball throw.  Her relay team did good too.  For a girl that claims she doesn't like to run she did a great job! Elle loved her pioneer trek with her grade and did a great job at her program.  She also finished up her last year of minor softball league and had a blast!  She's wanting to do competitive softball so we will see what happens with that. This chick has grown so much this past year and I am proud of the young lady she is becoming and how real she is, even if some days I don't like it :).

Trey has had a crazy busy month between travel ball, little league, end of elementary, track and he turned 11! My oldest is 11 and we couldn't ask for a better kid.  He is sweet, genuine, honest, funny, handsome and I could go on and on forever.  I absolutely adore him!  I'm sure all mothers feel that way about their first born.  I am amazed at the person that he is becoming and in awe of how he handles himself.  I got a huge compliment from his teacher this year. She told me that she wanted him to know that she thinks that he is just the best kid ever. She then told me that every so often you come across a kid that you know is going to do big things in their life and Trey is one of those and she can't wait to see what he does.

For his birthday his grade went swimming at my pool. I got the lifeguard to have everyone sing happy birthday to him.  He was a good sport about it! We also had G&G Whitney come up and went to fiesta fun and rode the go karts.  He was in heaven.

Below his this years little league team.  They did awesome and I am so proud of how hard he worked to prove to his new coaches that he can play. One of his coaches came up and told Cale that he loved how Trey hustled to everything he was told to do.  That he was a great player. Kudos buddy!

Over memorial weekend we got invited to play with the badgers up in utah county for a tournament.  While there we ran into Bridger and got to watch him play a little bit.  In the 2nd game of the tournament Trey hit a in the park grand slam.  It was awesome!  He had to give the family that came to watch him something to remember! :)

The 2nd day of the tournament Trey got put in as pitcher and had 5 strike outs in 2 innings.  Again he had to show off to the family cheering section he had.  Thanks to all of my family for showing up to support him.  We were only missing 5 people out of my entire family.  Not too shabby and the best part was my grandpa jones got to see him play too.  What an experience for Trey to have so many supporters!

Last but not least we got a new nephew this month.  Baby Clin was born to Dan and Michelle and we got to love on him. He is such a cutie and a great baby! We also were able to get together and have a family BBQ and play some whiffle ball.  The boy cousins went down to the river to throw in rocks and the baby cousins got to see each other :) It was a great vacation and end to our crazy May.

Choir Concerts and such

Elle had her end of year choir concerts this past month.  Her first concert was at Tuachan with a bunch of other schools.  The place was packed and they all sounded awesome.  She then had her last one this past week at her school.  They sang a lot of Mary Poppins songs and she loved it.  She got to stand by her best friend Riley this year and those two would start to giggle and it made me smile.  I'm not gonna lie, it will be nice not to have to get up super early to take her.  She's our little music and art girl and now that both of those are over I'm hoping we can get her started on her guitar and softball a little bit more.
This past weekend we had my brother and his family stop by on their way to California.  The kids had a blast playing with Taylor and having nerf wars.

Lastly we ended the soccer season on Saturday.  Trey's team was undefeated again.  I think it's been 5 seasons that they haven't lost a game. They are a great group of boys and I think we aren't too far off from joining the competitive circuit.  Heaven help us if we do. :)  Brex's last game was for the championship. His team hadn't lost all season and they were playing the team in 2nd place.  We were short a few of our better players and his team ended up losing the game.  He was so sad and it was hard to watch but we told him that that's how it goes sometimes. Now we just have the end of school baseball and softball for the next 3-4 weeks.  I'm looking forward to a slower pace.

Pentatonix Concert

Back in Feb. Cale and I surprised our girl with tickets to her favorite band Pentatonix.  The concert was on April 24th in Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. We had so much fun! She got her picture taken with the AJ who opened the show while we were waiting in line to go in. He came up to her an introduced himself and asked her name than said he liked her hair. She was wearing her rocker braids hair. Once we realized he was the opening act she got really excited! Her favorite was when PTX came on stage and she sang along with every song and I don't think she could have been any happier. It was an awesome concert and we even said we would see them again if given the chance.  After the concert we took her to go get crepes and frozen yogurt while we waited for the crowds to disperse.  It's not very often that we get to hang out with just Elle and we made the most of it. She stayed up the whole way home and chatted our ears off about each of the members of PTX.  I love the passion this girl has for life and for the things she likes.

Waiting to go into the venue.

She was so excited when the concert started I think she couldn't believe it was real.

Happy Birthday Boo

Happy Birthday to my Brexy Boo.  He is 6!! I can't wrap my head around it…..really I think I just don't want to believe that my baby is 6 years old.  He is such a fun, goofy kid and you can't help but just love the kid to pieces.  His birthday landed on a tournament day for Trey and Cale.  But that didn't bother Brex. This kid loves the baseball team and to him the best way to celebrate his birthday is with them.  We took cupcakes to his school class and we brought more cupcakes to the baseball game to have after the first game.  The Outlaw boys were so awesome and sang at the top of their lungs to him and you should have seen the grin on my little guy's face. He also got to see both sets of grandparents and he couldn't have been happier.  He got an Angels birthday cake and presents galore.
We got him a texas donut for breakfast!
Look at that cake!
Our little Outlaw family.
Money Money money

Here are 6 fun facts about Brex.

1-He loves loves loves baseball, his brother & sister and the Outlaws.
2-His favorite color is still green
3-He doesn't like chicken or so he says( I really think he just doesn't want what I fix for dinner.)
4-The Angels are his favorite team.
5-He has to dress exactly like Trey at all times and will change multiple times a day. He even goes early to school to play with Trey and all the 5 graders before class.  They have all taken him under their wing and lets just say he has tons of big brothers to back him up.
6-He has the biggest heart and the biggest belly laugh!

We love our Brex and can't imagine how we got so lucky to have him in our family.  Happy Birthday my Boo!

Playing Catch up

So it's been over 3 months since I've done any type of update.  We've been crazy busy and I wish that I was better at keeping this up as there are so many little things that I would love to remember.
In January, both Trey and Elle were in basketball.  Trey was in 2 leagues and our saturdays were kept busy.  He played on a rec ball team and had an awesome coach and played awesome.  His 2nd league was with all of his buddies from school.  I can't believe how much he has improved just over this season.  He had fun, made some crazy shots and was a rebounding son of a gun!  His Laser team had a tournament play to make it to championships. That day was so crazy.  Trey had 2 baseball games, a soccer game and than the tournament games for basketball.  By the end of the day he had played 6 games. Poor kid was worn out and his laser team lost the game to get into the championship.
Elle did awesome and had to learn how to hold her own on the floor.  She played against some tough girls.  It amazes me how mean girls can be in sports and what they will do to each other. Our Elle though came out on top and had a blast.
Basketball and fun times with friends.
 Lasers and Nets.

In Feb. we played in a couple of baseball tournaments, and ran in the dog town 5k.  My family came down for the race and we had a blast hanging out all weekend.  We decorated cookies for valentines day and played at the park and the kids went hiking with Uncle Dan and Aunt Michelle up to the "D".  It's always fun when the fam comes down to play.

Dogtown 5k.  We had a blast. Trey took 1st in his age group, Zack took 2nd and Brex missed out on 3rd by 1 tenth of a second.
Back at it with tournament play for the Outlaws.  Love this team!

In March we celebrated Cale's birthday and played some soccer and baseball.  Trey had his school program, we celebrated Easter and I went to a paint nite with friends.  We've kept busy with all of our activities and didn't think that life could get busier but at the end of the month we added in Little League.  Trey tried out for Majors and made it woot woot! As part of the try out they had to hit 5 balls and run the bases on the last hit for time.  His first ball he hit right at the coaches sitting on the sidelines that weren't paying attention. Way to get their attention dude.  On the last ball he ran the bases in the fastest time of everyone that was there to try out. He had an amazing try out. He's on the same team as his friend and fellow Outlaw Braden and he's a Red Sox player again :).  His team has done awesome so far and he's become a key player on the team.
We did a minion this year for the piñata.
Outside egg hunt. I love these kiddos

 Traditions: Piñata and egg hunts!

Brex killing it at soccer!

The last couple of weeks we started up Softball for Elle and Coach pitch for Brex.  Elle is our little pitching machine again and her coaches were so excited that she was playing with them again this year.  She had her first games last week and had amazing hits and did great at pitching.  Brex is on the Yankee's this year and they had their first game on Monday.  This kid did awesome! He had 2 great hits right over 2nd base. He made them into home runs. He ran so fast he caught up to the kid in front of him and followed him into home.  He has another game tonight and is so excited.  Trey did the science fair and got an "A" on it and can I just say I'm so glad it's over.

Christmas and New Years

We had a great Christmas.  The kids slept in until 7:30 in the morning Christmas day and I loved it. It's always so much fun to watch them get excited for everything they get.  The best part is how many times they say Thank you for everything.  For New Years we headed up north where it was cold.  We went to a trampoline place, Thanksgiving Points creativity center and sledding.  Trey's one requirement for going up north was that they have snow and that we get to go sledding.  The kids had a blast playing with their cousins and hanging out. Trey and Elle conquered their fear of heights and went up to the very top part of the the creativity center. They were strapped in harnesses and walked along an course high above everyone else.  It was a fun activity for all of the kids.

Trey got a baseball net and a lap top for christmas.  He only asked for a laptop to help him with his school work. This kid is such a sweetheart!
This little guy got a PS4 for christmas from Mom and Dad.  He was beyond excited and must have told us Thank you a million times. He's my precious baby boy.
This sweet girl of ours got tears in her eyes when she opened her traveling guitar. She got so excited for all of her gifts and wasn't afraid to show it.
Here they are with their big presents and big smiles.

At Thanksgiving Point

Brex Sledding he had so much fun!

The jumping place.  The foam pit was the favorite spot.

Elle Sledding she had a blast sledding with her cousins.

Finally got to meet Taylor and she is adorable.  Elle and I had fun holding her.

Trey was a master sledder.  He took a jump and was able to jump over Cale.  It was awesome!

We had so much fun this holiday season and got right back into the swing of our crazy lives.
