come & gone

Christmas has come and gone and it was a total blast!!! the kids were so much fun to watch. elle came down the stairs and spotted her new doll right off and was so excited. trey got a glance at spike the dinosaur and was totally enthralled. it took us over an hour to open all the presents, they had to open one and get it out and play with it for awhile before we moved onto the next one. the rest of the day included an awesome ham feast (thanks mom w.) and wii tourney's. it was so windy and rainy that we couldn't go outside but cale braved it and took maxx's ripstick out for a ride. he now wants one. he also took maxx's motorcycle out for a ride and had so much fun. the day after christmas i got my christmas present new clothes, shoes, my watch is now fixed and i got my ring cleaned. My mother-in-law came with me on my shopping excursion and man is she a shopper she kept throwing things at me and it was a blast! thanks again mom w!! And last but not least i wanted to say how much i love my grandma! she is in the hospital right now and i am waiting on pins and needles to know how she's doing. She is the best grandma anyone could ever ask for and right now i hope she gets better. I love you grandma!!!

let it snow

last night at about 2 in the morning cale woke me up and said you have to come look at this, there is a ton of snow. so i get up, look out the window and see a winter wonderland. everything was covered in white and looked so peaceful. trey woke up not too long after and was looking at the snow with us. who does that at 2am? anyway we finally all went back to bed and this morning it was time for fun. trey threw a couple of snow balls before we headed to his preschool program. he did really good for having it be his first program in front of people. he actually stayed up on the stage! he didn't say his line or sing or even participate but he stayed up there :) all he really cared about was getting back outside to have a snowball fight and that's what we did. it was a blast the snow was perfect for making good snowballs. they then came home and made a little snowman that they put in the freezer until i could come home to see it. it's definitely the cutest little snowman i've ever seen!!

snow in dixie

so we had our first snow of the year down here in dixie. it snowed all day yesterday and it finally feels like christmas. now i'm from up north where the christmas season usually had snow. being in st. george you don't get that luxury every year. trey and elle were totally stoked about the snow and never missed a chance to throw a snow ball. this morning as trey and i were walking in to go to preschool i tossed a snowball at him and of course it missed.(i wasn't really aiming at him just next to him.) well he got to laughing and ran and gathered up his own little snowball and came right up to me at got me in the back. he giggled for an hour afterwards what a funny little guy i have.

sick, christmas trees & family

what a weekend we've had! my brothers dan and brandon came down to see us this weekend and we all just happened to be sick. i've been sick for the past week but poor cale and trey got it a few days ago. to make matters worse elle finally caught it today and none of us seem to be getting better. we finally got a christmas tree and it turned out beautiful, thanks to the kids putting all the ornaments on, taking them off and putting them back on in different places. Of course the tree is real we love the smell of fresh pine and cale has vowed never to own a fake tree. trey was adorable today when he started to tell me that when it's christmas we give presents to family and friends. how smart is he?!!!
it was so much fun to see my brothers. dan came down on friday and brought brandon back with him on sat. from cedar where he was swimming. dan and cale had a mean tennis match while brandon and i had the kids at the park. we watched movies and they kept the kids highly entertained. when they left this morning elle said where's my daniel. she loves her uncles!! hopefully dan you feel better.(we got him sick too i think) we also got to see auntie clea and grandma w. today. they came up for a few hours and the kids absolutely loved seeing them, thanks for coming to visit. it's so much fun to see the family and spent time with them all. trey and elle can't seem to get enough of them all, neither can we!

that's so pretty is what elle said the whole way home today as we drove past all the christmas lights. trey kept saying wow and i get a fire truck for christmas. i'm super excited because this year when we go look at christmas lights on christmas eve the kids will participate!! my family use to pile in the van and go look at all the lights on christmas eve and it was so much fun. it's a tradition that i've continued to do with my kids and now they get just as excited as i do. woo hoo!!!

food, games and fun

woo hoo it's thanksgiving weekend! we had tons of great food!(cobi you made the best rolls and stuffing!!!) our wii tourny is still going strong. last night maxx won the bowling portion of our tourny and tonight is tennis. yipee! the kids have jumped in the rain and played football this morning in the brisk air.right now we're having a little down time before we head for more fun.
