This year we went to Tuacan and saw the live nativity and Santa. We also hosted our own little Christmas Eve dinner for Cale's family. I spent the day cooking on and off and I really enjoyed it. I swear I do like to cook but it's 10x's more fun when you have time and you don't feel exhausted or rushed. The kids got to decorate Santa's cookies and once they were done we had to keep Brex from eating them all.
Santa came and was very generous to all of us. The best was seeing the kids faces as they opened gifts that they really wanted. Brex was like a mad man opening the gifts faster than we could get them out to everyone. He didn't care if they were for him or not. We had so much playing with their new toys and enjoying each others company. I did get to talk to all of my family and that was really nice. These are from my phone that's why they aren't very good.
Next up was our Anniversary. 10 years baby!!!! I can't believe it's been that long, it's flown by so fast. I really do have the bestest hubby in the world. We've been through so much and I am so grateful that he is by my side. He makes everything in life simpler, happier, crazier and funnier. He's my rock and the love of my life! 10years down and eternity to go. I love you sweetheart!!!
Dan watched the kids for us all day long. It's been a really long time since we've gotten to spend the whole day by ourselves. It was so much fun and much needed. Thank you Dan!!
New Years came up fast. I took a few days off from work between Christmas, Anniversary and New Years and that was the best decision ever! Trey and Brex were sick through out all of christmas break and new years eve was no exception. Trey was running a fever, so we put all the kids to bed around 9pm. Poor guys they really wanted to stay up but felt so much better the next day. Cale and I made it past midnight and that was fun. We are not big into new years resolutions but I can say that this year feels like it will be better. Guess we just have to see if that's true or not.
