My daughter has pulled what is known in my family as a Daniel “I think it’s in my drawer.” Years ago when my sister Shari still lived at home, she was looking for a roll of film. She tore her room upside down looking for this film. She had asked all of us a million times if we had seen it, taken it or knew where it might be. All of us including Daniel who was the youngest at the time told her no. After hours of searching for this film, Daniel pipes up “oh I think it’s in my drawer.” Sure enough he ran into his room and brought her the roll of film. She was so mad at him and we all laughed. He still gets teased every so often.
Today the kids got their Valentines cards from their grandparents. Cale had told them not to lose the money that was in each of their cards. He turned around for 30 seconds to get a fedex package and low and behold, the money is gone. All of them start searching the house, retracing their steps and couldn’t find this money. The kids are fighting over whose money is lost; Elle is saying it’s Trey’s and Trey saying it’s Elles. Finally Cales asks them if they had put it in their pockets. Elle goes yeah mine’s right here. She had the missing money in her pocket and nonchalantly pulls it out like it’s not the money that they are looking for. Afterwards Cale asked Elle to give him the money so she wouldn't lose it again and her response. "No I want to give it to the ice cream man!" Oh Elle Belle how we love your sense of humor!!
