lions and tigers and mermaids???

yesterday i played hookie from work j/k i actually got to take most of the day off because i am working on sat. anyway we decided to take the kids to vegas to have some fun. here we live only a few hours away and we've never taken them down there. we went to silverton to the big aquarium there and saw stingrays, sharks, fish, and this is where elle got to see the mermaid. in the afternoons a girl dresses up in a mermaid costume and dives into the tank with all the fish and entertains the little kids. elle loved the mermai.d she played peek a boo with her and gave her a high five and knuckles and was super entertained. they also have a big pro bass shop here and trey and cale had fun checking out all the stuffed animals and gadgets that they have. they've got a little shooting range with toy guns and the kids(by kids i really mean cale :) had a blast!! we also got to see some ducks in their water feature. this place was great! next we headed to MGM grand to see the lions habitat. they weren't out because of feeding time so we walked on over to their rainforest cafe and ate dinner. this is where the kids got to eat during a thunder storm and got their balloon hats. trey's was a pirate hat and elle's a tiara. they also have a ton of fish tanks all over and a water feature that had rainbows. it was like eating in a rainforest for sure! after dinner we went back to the lions habitat and they had a male and female lion out. we got to walk right under the female lion while she was chewing on a bone. it's crazy that you can get that close to one. next it was off to M&M world. that's right folks we went to the world of m&m's and got to see the kyle busch race car and i don't believe i've ever seen so many m&m's before in my life. we went up all 4 stories and looked outside at all the lights and all the people that were underneath us. i think the kids went into overload with everything that they got to see yesterday. I mean when you look at it they got to see:lions, stingrays, sharks, fish, mermaids, duck, airplanes, and tons of other thing. they also had a blast going on the escalators. over all it was fun and not to shabby for a 5 hour trip to vegas!! i will post more pics later.
