Happy Dance

This week has been a little bit rough for us.  Trey has contacted a viral infection which has attacked his body.  The poor kid has missed 3 days of school and his soccer game on Sat.  He can't keep anything down and I swear has lost 5+lbs.  He's got an eye infection and his poor lip has broken out in cold sores.  He's exhausted and the doc said it could last up to another week. They did test him for mono but that came back negative.  There isn't a whole lot that we can do but just let it run it's course.  Our little man had an awesome game on saturday.  He scored 8 goals and would do a little happy dance each time.  He'd point his fingers in the air and dance around after each goal.  It got a little crazy after so many goals but I'm so glad he's having fun.  Our princess scored the first goal of the game for her team.  Last week she scored 4 goals and on her 3rd goal she knocked the goal net down.  She got the giggles after that but still managed to put one more in the net.  School has been great for  the kids and they are learning so much.  Here's hoping for a better week for our Tre Tre.

This little man scarfed down a bag of mini oreos and LOVED it!
Pointing to the goal gotta make sure we head in the right direction.

1st games of the season.

Today was the 1st day of Soccer.  We had the early 9am game with Trey and than we split up for 11am games for Elle and Brex. Trey's team(The Destroyers) did awesome. This is the first year where they have goalie's and play offsides.  They played really well together and won the game 7-0.  Elle's team(The Orange Butterflies)played so hard and our girl scored the first goal for her team.  She than went on for 2 more assists. They played hard and came up a little bit short with a score of 5-4. Brex's team(Ninja Turtles) were little brawlers. I didn't get to watch that game but Cale said he's never seen so many fights and pushing and shoving.  He did get lots of video and I got to watch our little man score 2 out of his 4 goals.  Those games are going to be classics.  We sure had fun today and I think it's going to be an interesting season.

School is now in Session

School is back in session for our kiddos.  We have a big 3rd grader, 2nd grader and a 1st year preschooler.  That's right folks all 3 of our kids are in school and it's a little weird.
Trey and Elle have been in school a week and today had picture day.  Brex started this past Tuesday and only goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays but he loves it and told us he had so much fun. It's been a little hard for Brex to not have the kids around during the day.  One day he didn't want them to go and held the kids backpacks hostage. He tried to block us from going out the door and asks all the time if it's time to go get them. One day it was only 11am and he was ready to go get the kids.  It's better now that he is in school but he still misses them.  All 3 are doing great and we are off to a fantastic start.

Before school and dropping the kids off

Brex got a special breakfast

Trey's been out golfing with daddy

Brex's 1st day. we had to capture it with all the kids
The sun was so bright he couldn't see.

After a rough morning Brex got to go to the park and ride his bike.

Vegas

It was my birthday on Monday so to celebrate we took the kids and headed to Vegas for the day.  We started it out by going to Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.  It was awesome and we had a blast.  We saw a yellow alligator, python snake, sharks, sword fish, jelly fish, sting rays and about a hundred other water creatures.  We even got to pet the sting rays that was a cool experience.  Miss Elle wouldn't do it though they kind of freaked her out.

After Shark Reef, we headed to M&M world and saw the little movie that they do there in 3d.  That was a lot of fun. We also stopped by the Coke Store and tasted their sampler tray of sodas from around the world.  I'm not gonna lie most were pretty disgusting, that's why we paired it with soda floats and those were yummy.

From there we went to New York New York and played arcade games.  The kids tried to talk us into going on the roller coaster but I'm not much a roller coaster kind of gal so we entertained them with the arcade games. Next we saw the fountain show at the Bellagio and from there made our next stop at the Venetian.  There we ate my delicious dinner at the Grand Lux and I got to have my cheesecake for dessert.  We took the kids and walked through the Venetian and showed them the Gondola rides and were entertained by a play put on in St. Marks Square by the Carnival dressed people.  They had a guy on stilts that did amazing.  At the end of that show they all popped off streamers and the guy on the stilts came right up to Elle and handed her his streamers.  She thought that was so cool!!

We made a stop at the It's Sugar store and let the kids roam through all the old fashion candy icons and they each got to pick out an item.  Our last stop was to catch the Pirate show at Treasure Island. We were so close to the front that when they cannons hit the ship and exploded our faces were burning from the heat of the fires.  By that time we were all worn out so we decided it was time to head on home.  Brex fell asleep within minutes of getting into the car and poor Trey puked within 5 mins.  Luckily we had a bag and pulled off at a gas station to get rid of it. I guess that is how you know you've had a super fun day is when at the end of it a kid gets sick.

I love Treys face, Brex loved the floats

Happy Birthday Elle!

Happy Birthday Elle!

Our little girl is not so little anymore and it's hard to believe that she's getting so big. Elle Belle you are the most precious little girl to daddy and me.  We love your smile, your laugh is contagious and we love that we can pick it out of a crowd.  You are the best big and little sister that any brother could have.  I love that you are so girly and keep us on our toes. You are so smart and it's amazing how one so small can be so giving and kind.  You put others first, include everyone and you wouldn't have it any other way.  You're a bright light that everyone wants to keep close especially me. Remember that you will always be our baby girl(even if you aren't a baby anymore.) We love you Elle Belle.

You hated the feel of grass
You love peanut butter
 Our little golfer
 You are so beautiful!

 You got style girl!

24th of July

Happy 24th of July! We had quite the fun day. We started our day out with swimming lessons.  Trey and Elle are doing so well.  Their teacher is Tyler he was one of my old guards and I think he is an awesome teacher so do the kids.  We than did a little shopping. After shopping we came home and made yummy steaks, mushrooms, asparagus, peaches and apples. Yumm-o!!  Right before dark we took the kids to get ice cream cones and you know it's good when you have chocolate from your head to your chin. Than we took off to my work where the fireworks were going to be.  We got to climb on top of the roof with all of my work friends families and had front row seats to the fireworks.  They were amazing!!! Right in the middle Brex said "Mommy it's time for me to go to my bed." He was super tired but lasted through the whole show than fell asleep in the car. We all had a blast and think we'll have to go again next year!

Hahaha better late than never

So I realized that I haven't written about our 4th of July. So like the title says better late than never.  We had a great 4th. The kids had a blast playing and we did poppers and sparklers. We got to see an amazing show of fireworks that about half way through Brex fell asleep.   In other news Brex has 1 week left before his cast comes off and we are so excited. Time to write on it and decorate it.  Trey and Elle are in their 2nd week of swim lessons and loving it. Due to Brex not being able to do a whole lot we have supplemented with going to the movies. So far we have seen Monsters University and Despicable Me 2 both super cute movies and Brex actually sat through both of them.  Part of that is due to the fact he can't really go anywhere, and we fed him lots of popcorn :)  We still have to go see Turbo and than Airplanes will be out and the verdict is still out on Smurfs 2.  I've been debating about taking the kids to see Mulan at Tuachan or Mary Poppins.  Guess we shall see what happens with that too.

This shows Brex 1st learning how to walk on his cast, Elle's delicious Nutella Rolls and the kiddos being cute.
Sparklers baby!!!
