Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving down in Overton with Cale's family.  It was a lot of fun.  We ate delicious food and did the annual coloring and blood pressure contests. (I know you are thinking blood pressure contest, it's true we see who can get the lowest and I am the reigning champion.) Seriously though we have been doing this since I was dating Cale so it's been over 11 years. While the girls went shopping on Saturday the boys took all the kids except Elle out shooting and riding the artic cat.  We also made gingerbread santa sleighs, played and chatted it up!!  Thanks to grandma and grandpa whitney for hosting all of us rowdy people!!!  We had a blast and can't wait for the next get together!

Happenings

  I finally went and got both Elle's hair cut and mine.  They gave Elle this gigantic Popsicle and she loved it! Her hair looks so much better and so does mine!  Saturday we got out of our warm beds at were at the soccer field by 9am.  It was super cold but Trey's team did amazing!  They played a tough match and ended up losing by 1.  They only have 1 more game to go and that is next week.  After that it's Thanksgiving and than we are onto Basketball the week after that.  It sure doesn't seem to be slowing down I can't believe that it's almost Thanksgiving.  I don't even want to start thinking about Christmas!

Abrakadoodle

Tonight was employee abrakadoodle night at my work. Abrakadoodle is an art class that we offer and we decided it was time to get all of our kids together and have some fun.  We all had a blast using oil crayons that when you got them wet it was like using paint.  Even the adults joined in and painted pictures.  At the end we had an art show and all the kids got to give their paintings a name.

Halloween

Halloween has come and gone. We had a ton of fun this year and as always we got way too much candy. We started the day off by going to the kids school parade, than Brex went to daycare and did their little Halloween party and parade.  We came home and carved pumpkins and made dinner, after that we headed out to uncle Dan's neighborhood and went trick or treating with him.  The weather was amazing we all had a blast!

Spooktacular

Tonight was the spooktacular at my work.  The kids got to get dressed up in their costumes and come go trick or treating to all of the different vendors.  They got lots of candy, played games and got to play in the bounce house and go through an obstacle course with a big slide at the end of it.  They were so cute and had a blast!

Fun

Yesterday we started soccer up again after a 3 week hiatus.  The kids came out firing. Elle scored a goal within the first few minutes of the game and did amazing! She's got passion and I love see her grin every time she scores.  Trey's team had a fight on their hands.  The teams were so closely matched that it was a fast pace game.  Trey had multiple shots that could have gone in but didn't and finally he shot and SCORED!  It was 2 seconds before they called the game! What a way to end an intense game.  He was so excited and of course we were going crazy!  The best part was when we got home he showed us a paper that he had written on before we left that said "I'm going to score a goal".  He had a goal in mind, wrote it down and succeeded in accomplishing it. I'm one proud momma!  Our baby as you can see in the picture below is so full of life and his cheesy smile tugs at my heart! I love my kiddos and can't believe how much joy and happiness they bring into our lives.
