water baby

it's swimming time!!! woo hoo! everyone that knows me and my family knows how much we love the water! well i've waited as long as i can and finally took brex swimming! he was such a good sport and at first gave me the lip. but after a few minutes he relax and we had some fun for about 15 mins. after that i got him out and all warmed up. he really did have some fun! we can't wait for next time. daddy thinks that he will be a little swimmer just like his brother and sister. :)


we also spent this last weekend up north for abby's baby blessing and sealing. she is such a cutie pie. her and brex get along so well.
brex has learned how to sit up and it's not fair that my baby is growing up so darn fast!

busy as a bee

who as time to blog when you're busy as a bee?? well let try and do a little bit of catching up. first up we have to give a big shout out to both of our mothers. they both had birthdays last week. my moms was on the 9th and cale's moms was on the 11th.

-1 parent teacher conference (trey is doing awesome)!!
-1 handy helper day in preschool for elle
-2 major achievements for brex(sitting up and pulling himself across the floor)
-learning how to give kisses-brex
-1 smashed foot-tiff(i dumped a tv on it)
-1 broken microwave
-tons of work-tiff
-lots of funny quotes from both kids
-new doctor-cale
-tons of new experiences-trey
-1 new bedtime routine(thanks everyone!)
-lots of growing up-kids
-tons of family(we love those times)
-lots of laughter and fun-all

this is just a short list of everything that we are doing and have been doing. mostly we are just living life just like everyone else. we have our ups and downs but at the end of the day it's having our family time that really make me smile.

We went up north this past weekend for my grandpa's birthday and to meet my cousin's fiance. Lets just say that I'm glad it wasn't me bringing home the newest soon to be member of the family. This is how we prepared for the welcoming.

There is a story behind why we all were dressing up really weird but that's for another time. I didn't get any pictures of when the whole family actually went out to the curb to meet the happy couple but I heard it was hilarious :)

We also took some grandkid pictures with my mom and dad and then my grandpa. We did have a blast up there and can't wait to go up again! Thanks everyone for the good times.

any ideas

I need some ideas. How do you moms get your kids to go to sleep early? With school starting up last week, I've been trying to get the kids to bed at least by 9 and I will tell you what, it's IMPOSSIBLE!!! It seems the harder I try the later they stay up and the more hyper they get. They get up early and then they are still tired and onery by the afternoon. In fact the other day Elle ended up taking a 3 hour nap at 5pm. I tried to get her up and she didn't budge. Their staying up late is taking a toll on all of us and we may all crack if something doesn't change. HELP!!!

a day of 1st

today was the day of 1st. the 1st day of kindergarten for trey. the 1st day of preschool for elle. the 1st coed softball game that cale and i have played together. and (well this isn't the 1st time but we can't forget brex) brex has rolled over from front to back and back to front. what a day it's been for us! here is to more 1st and lots of fun times from here on out.

4 months and 4 years

We had doctor appointments today for our 4 year old and our 4 month old. Elle was such a big girl and was so excited when the doctor said she didn't have to get any shots. She is in the 90th percentile for her height and weight. She is my tall beautiful girl and believe it or not she became a mute when we were at the doctors. :)


Brex is doing great despite the 2 shots! He weighs 15lbs 11oz which is the 70th percentile and............................. wait for it...........27in long which is the 97th percentile! woo hoo my baby boy is not average anymore! It's looking like he will be tall and skinny like his brother and sister. both trey and elle were always off the charts for height and weight. I was scared brex was going to be the shorty of the family.(i understand it can still change but for now i'm excited.) He gets to eat rice cereal now and he gets the biggest grin when we feed him. he is such a sweetie pie! he sleeps in his crib but has to have a little bit of light on, he hates it when it's completely dark.(who can blame him right?) he gives kisses and loves to snuggle with us. he has also gotten his first tooth which has been a bugger. all in all he's pretty happy and who could ask for more!

am i big now????????

"Am I big now?" is what our birthday girl asked as she opened her eyes this morning. Elle has been waiting forever for her birthday and today was the big day! we had so much fun playing at jumping jacks and shopping :) She about droves us nuts when we got her cake, it was such a cute cake and it tasted even better. I think her favorite part was getting to talk to her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. My favorite part of today was when she told us that she had a great birthday!! It doesn't get any better than that!
