whew what a past week it's been for us and lucky for you to get to see it in pictures! we'll start out with preschool graduation.

 

next we have trey's 5th birthday party. he got a new bike and lots of other stuff. thanks g&g whitney for coming to the party. not only was it trey's birthday but it was also grandpa whitney's birthday the day before. i did get a picture of the birthday boys together.

 

next are pictures of a few of the gibson cousins and brex with cousin abby. she kept trying to eat his hand it was soooo cute!!!

 

last is our jones family reunion trip to goblin valley. to say the least it was an interesting trip. we got blown out of there early but still had some fun. we have in the pictures all the cousins except shay and connor. we'll have to get them next time.

 

now it's time to relax and enjoy summer!

too fast

time is going by way too fast. my big boy is turning 5 and graduating preschool(yes i am that sappy mom who has already gotten teary eyed thinking about it). i'm glad that he is getting older but it makes me sad to think that after this week things are going to change. there will be no more coming to work with me and getting to hang out before preschool. no more getting to walk past the gym and see him learning all sorts of fun games and activities. no more racing him down the hall to his door or seeing his face light up every time i would see them walking somewhere in the building. no more watching him swim with his buddies and no more getting to go into his class to help out. it's been so much fun to have trey and mommy time that i am sad to see it ending. i have been spoiled by having him go to preschool where i work. it always made my day when i got to see him. i guess in short i'm going to miss hanging out with my little buddy! i love you trey trey!

little brex.

1 month

it's been 1 month since we've become a family of 5 and in that time we've had so much fun. here's an update on the kids and what we've been up too.

brex is the perfect addition to our family. it seems like he can't go 2 seconds without someone smothering him in hugs and kisses. he loves to eat and be held. he has the cutest little smiles and he has all of us wrapped around his little finger. he's getting better at sleeping during the night and is more awake during the day. so far we've noticed 2 different times when he likes to fuss, 10:30pm and 9-9:30am. it doesn't last for too long so thats good for us. his hair is getting lighter, eyes are getting bluer, fingers getting longer, and all of him is getting chubbier :) he's my little cuddle bug and i can't believe he's getting so big.


elle has made some new friends and loves to play outside all day long with them. she is also getting so tall and acts so much older than her 3 yrs. she loves clothes, shoes and anything girly and changes outfits at least 20 times a day. she is a good little swimmer and i can't wait to put her in more swim lessons. she adores brex and is often found hovering over him giving him kisses.


trey is going to be 5 this month. i can't believe my big boy is going to be 5 and going to kindergarten. he will graduate from preschool on the 21st of this month. he also has new friends and is often found outside playing all sorts of sports and games with them. he loves to hold brex. it's fun to find him playing with brex when he thinks we're not around. it is so adorable and heartwarming to watch. what a great big brother he is to both elle and brex.

we have been lucky to have my family down this past month. my parents were able to come spend a few days the week after brex was born and my sister shari and her family came and spent some time with us and than my other sister raquel just left on tues after spending a few days with us. it was so much fun to spend time with them all, we just don't get too all that often. we were able to take the kids to the park, swimming and do some shopping. as for the rest of the month we are headed to goblin valley for a family reunion and than cale is trying to plan a little fishing, golfing trip up north. we'll see how that turns out.
