Happy 3rd Birthday Brex!

Happy Birthday to my Baby!! 

Brex turned 3 today and we have partied all day long. He had a soccer themed party that included a soccer cake and soccer candles.  Grandma and papa surprised the kids by coming up to celebrate with us.  That was so much fun, Thank you for coming!! Brex got a birthday hair cut, 3 new outfits with a new pair of shoes.  He got a new bike that is shiny(his only request for his birthday), money and remote control bumper cars that they have had a blast with(thanks uncle dan.) I can't believe my baby is 3. He is growing up so fast. He's my little cuddle bug and my laugh machine.  He is so mischievous that it makes me worry sometimes but I wouldn't change that for the world. He always tells me good night and say's "I love you mommy." it melts my heart and we usually sing twinkle twinkle little star.  If you ask him how old he is he'll tell you 5.  He thinks he's that big but I'm glad he's only 3.  He will always be our little Brexy Boo no matter how old he gets.  We love you buddy Happy Birthday!!!

Easter 2013

We had a fun Easter this year.  Like every year we came home with loads of candy.  We got to spend time with Cales family and had lots of laughs and great food. We colored eggs, had 2 egg hunts, and hit a Pinata. Hope everyone else's Easters were as good as ours was.

Sparkle Club update

We picked up the kids from school today and Elle was telling us how a Chess player had read about the Sparkle Club and wanted to meet them and teach them about Chess. She than told us that they took pictures and he gave her and her friend Tasha little key chains in the shape of a Chess piece(of course Elle's is pink.) Later this evening Elle's teacher sent me all of these pictures that they took. I guess this guy is a teacher at Dixie College. Also today Elle came home with a letter sent to her from another little girl from a different school.  It was addressed to her school with attention to Elle Whitney.  This little girl told Elle that she had read about the Sparkle club and wanted to know how she came up with the idea to start the club. She also wanted details on how they came up with the name,  how to get a club like this started and a ton of other questions.  It was adorable!!! She even included her number and email address so Elle can write back.  It's crazy to see how many people read about the Sparkle Club and want to know more about it.  What an amazing experience this has been for Elle and us. I am one proud momma!!! Love my Elle Belle!!

Duckie Drop 2013

So it's that time of year again when we do the Duckie Drop.  This year I was helping out with the event so I didn't get to swim with the kids but Cale and Dan took over for me and we all had a blast!  The kids walked away with a couple of baskets full of goodies and a bat and ball.  Brex was so excited, all day he kept saying we are doing the duckie drop.  I have to admit it is a fun event and one that my kids have loved going to every year. I was only able to get pictures before the drops but oh well it's still fun to have some pictures of them.

Vegas

Happy Birthday to my Hubby! For his birthday I took him to Vegas for a 2 night stay.  We stayed at Treasure Island and started our mini vacation out right by getting upgraded to the 35th floor.  That was awesome!  We had fun shopping, eating at amazing places and just spending time together.  The kids stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Whitney and I have to give them a Huge shout out for watching them for us.  They had a blast and we appreciated it so much! It was so nice to get away but it's even nicer to be home with our kiddos.

We brought our kids some treats while we were gone.  When we got home we put those treats to good use with a movie night watching Wreck it Ralph. We love our kiddos!

Spring Break, Soccer and other Fun Stuff

The kids had Spring Break a couple of weeks ago and spent the week down with Grandma and Grandpa Whitney.  Cale was down there with them and they had a blast.  They were able to play outside most of the time and loved it.  The weather was beautiful and honestly who doesn't love spending a week with grandma & grandpa?!!!  I got to spend the week working so I was home by myself.  I'm not gonna lie it was kind of nice but I missed my kiddos and hubby.  I did get to spend time with Dan and that was a lot of fun and something we should do more often. :)

 Soccer season is in full swing and both Trey and Elle are doing awesome!  Elle scored this past Saturday and we all went crazy.  Trey's team is very fun and he's having a blast. He got to play goalie this past game but his team played awesome so he didn't see any action.

While at the grandparents house Cale was trimming their trees and Trey decided to saw part of a branch.  He was so excited and very proud of himself when he sawed the piece of wood apart.  He's such a cutie!

Happenings

It's been a couple of weeks since I've updated the blog.  So here's a quick view of what we've been up too.

-Trey and Elle have started Spring Soccer.  Practices the first week were on Tues, Wed and Thurs with the games on Sat.  Poor Brex keeps asking where his team is at.......in the fall buddy we'll get you on your own team.
-Elle had her 1st grade program this week and did amazing.  It consisted of all the first graders and after the program Elle had her friend Tasha's dad come up to her and tell her he was so glad to finally meet her and what amazing little girl she is and how proud he is of her & Tasha for starting the Sparkle Club.  He said things like this are what makes a daddy cry.  I thought that was an awesome thing for him to do.

-Trey, Brex and I have all battled the flu/croup and sinus infection.  We are finally on the mend.....well the boys are well over it I'm finally on the mend.
-We have spent some time at the park enjoying our beautiful weather.  It's so nice to be able to spend time outdoors again.
-Both Trey and Elle have made the school's goal of reading for 3500 mins they got an award today in school.
-Elle finally lost her front tooth.  That thing was so stubborn. I'm so glad it's gone!!! Yippee!!
-We are about to venture into Little league in the next couple of weeks and will be going between soccer and baseball.
-We had SEP's for the kids last week and both are doing awesome!  Trey's teachers told us they wish they had a whole classroom full of Trey's. They absolutely adore him! Elle's teacher said that she is above where she needs to be and told me that she lets Elle pick her spelling word list each week.  Seriously she can either pick the super hard list or the easy and my girl goes for the hard words!!
-I have been super busy at work with budgets and HR evaluations.  So glad it's finally over.
-We are now officially on Spring Break.  I think it will be a nice change.
-After Spring Break we are looking forward to Cale's Birthday, the Duckie Drop, Easter and Brex's Birthday.
