fishin'

the other night we were lookin' for an activity to do. cale came up with taking the kids fishing up at the pond near our house. i had no idea that this pond was there but cale and the kids had found it the day before and spent an hour up there running and playing. trey had also seen a guy catch 2 fish and couldn't wait to go back and catch his own fish. anyway we grabbed the fishing gear and the kids ran to their hearts content while cale tried to catch a fish. we got to see ducks in the pond and when one came ashore trey wanted to go catch it. we didn't get to stay long and no we didn't catch a fish but we sure had a lot of fun and will be back soon.

a few weekends ago we took the kids out to shoot trey's 22 gun. cale won this gun in a tourny awhile back before the kids were born and he said that if he ever had a son that it would be his gun. so trey has had a gun since birth and i'll tell you what the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. trey and elle both love to shoot just like their daddy! we even got grandma w. to go out with us and shoot a few rounds.

my sister becca just adopted her. she was born dec. 29, 2009 and weighed in at 4lbs 6oz. she had to stay in nicu for a week and today she is being released from the hospital. she now weighs 5lbs 1oz. they have to stay in maryland for a week but then she will be home!!!

1 year ago & new......

a year ago yesterday i lost my grandma. she was one of the sweetest grandma's ever! i can't believe it's been a whole year, it's gone by so fast. i miss her a lot but know that she is out of pain and in a happier place. i also know that she is lookin' out for us and want us to be happy.

on that note onto the "new" portion of this post.

i am getting a new niece by the end of the week. she was born yesterday in maryland. my sister becca and her family have been chosen to adopt this sweet little girl. they are waiting to hear back from the agency for more information so that they can fly out to get here and bring her home. i can't wait to meet her!! i'm super excited for them and that our little guy will have someone his age to play with!! i will post pics when i get them from her.

8 years

happy anniversary to my hubby! even though it was yesterday i still had to get on and say that i am the luckiest girl in the world!!! what a great 8 years it's been and i can't believe how far we've come. i love you babe!!!

Christmas 2009

We had an amazing christmas! The kids have told us that santa did such a good job with their toys! Of course that makes us feel really good to know that santa got it right!:) Here are a few pictures of their christmas morning.(they let us sleep in until 9:30 woohoo!)

Trey was being so good and took elle for a ride on his 4wheeler. As soon as he went into get a drink she hopped onto it and took off like a mad woman!! She got mad at us when we made her give it back.
